Technical Manager (Semiconductor Project)

Role Overview:  The Technical Manager will lead the technical team in semiconductor project execution while actively contributing to business development. This role is ideal for individuals with strong technical expertise in semiconductor design and processes, problem-solving skills, and leadership abilities to drive complex projects and establish market presence in a global, cutting-edge environment. The ideal candidate will also serve as a strategic consultant, helping identify growth opportunities, shape our semiconductor project roadmap, and position the company for long-term success.

● Lead and mentor a team of engineers in semiconductor projects (e.g., digital IC design, embedded software, process development).

● Oversee end-to-end project execution, including planning, resource allocation, risk management, and delivery.

● Ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., ISO, IEEE) and compliance with quality, cost, and timeline targets.

● Stay updated on emerging semiconductor trends (e.g., AI/ML chips, IoT, automotive ICs) and drive R&D initiatives.

● Identify new market opportunities and build relationships with potential clients (e.g., OEMs, Fabless companies).

● Act as a technical consultant to customers, understanding their needs and proposing tailored semiconductor solutions.

● Drive lead generation and pipeline development in collaboration with the sales team.

● Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and technical forums to enhance brand visibility.

● Advise the leadership team on semiconductor industry and relevant technology trends, investment and partnerships opportunities, competitors landscape and customer insights.

● Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, and product teams to align technical offerings with market demands.

● Support the development of the company’s long-term semiconductor strategy and product portfolio.

● Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or related field (Ph.D is preferred)

● 5-10 years of proven experience in the Semiconductor industry, with at least 3 years of experience as an Engineering Project Manager position preferred

● Strong technical knowledge of Logic Synthesis & Static Timing Analysis (STA)

● Familiarity with ASIC or other Microelectronics development, with strong hands-on experience in at least one of the following: RTL Design, Design for Test (DFT), or Physical Design (PnR)

● Proficiency in scripting languages (Perl, TCL, AWK, Python) for workflow optimization

● Proficiency in Industry-standard EDA Tools for logic synthesis (DC, Genus), LEC (Formality, Conformal), STA (PrimeTime, Tempus)

● Working knowledge on IC design CAD tools (Spectre, Spice, Matlab, Hsim, Verilog, etc)

● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong verbal and written communication in English

● Ability to drive and mentor a team of IC design engineers through all stages of implementation and signoff

● Ability to learn and implement new methodologies, tools, and technologies as per project requirements.

● Agile & Startup Mindset: Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, taking ownership of projects, driving innovation, thereby balancing startup agility with enterprise structure, making strategic decisions that align with business objectives and long-term growth.

● Knowledge and experience on low power and high speed design techniques.

● Proven ability to communicate effectively with C-level stakeholders in large organizations.

● Experience in supporting presales, technical sales, or business development in the semiconductor industry.
