Job Description

• Provide strategic consulting to retailers on optimizing supply chains, improving customer experience, and enhancing operational efficiency.
• Propose AI-powered solutions, including recommendation engines, dynamic pricing, and marketing automation, to reduce cart abandonment and increase sales.
• Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as foot traffic, conversion rates, and average order value to support data-driven decisions.
• Guide e-commerce clients in segmentation strategies, UX improvements, and personalized marketing.
• Translate client business needs into effective technical solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Partner with the sales team to craft tailored proposals, demos, and presentations that align with customer objectives.
• Lead client workshops and technical discussions, building trust through expertise and value-driven conversations.
• Work closely with data engineers, AI specialists, and product teams to ensure smooth delivery and alignment with customer expectations.
• Support post-sales solution implementation (if needed) to ensure success and satisfaction


Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in presales engineering, consulting, or solution design—preferably in retail or e-commerce industries.
• Strong understanding of data and AI applications in retail and digital commerce.
• Native or business-level proficiency in Japanese; capable of communicating in English
• Strong understanding of software development processes, platform implementation, and digital ecosystems, particularly with e-commerce.
• Proven track record in client-facing roles with expertise in gathering and analyzing technical and business requirements.
• Demonstrated success in developing proposals, commercial and technical documentation, and solution recommendations that meet client needs with precision and value.
• Excellent communication skills, with a focus on empathy, cultural awareness, and the ability to build rapport across onshore and offshore teams.
• Skilled at logically breaking down complex problems into simpler components for estimation and planning.
