Role Overview
SmartOSC is expanding across multiple projects with local and global clients (South Korea, the Philippines, ANZ, Singapore, and more) and is looking for Business Analysts at various levels for e-commerce, airlines, digital banking, and internal AI projects. Note: Except for the Digital Banking project (onsite at Nguyen Chi Thanh), all other positions are based at the Handico Tower office.
2. General Responsibilities (all BA positions)
– Work with clients, Product Owners, PMs, and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and clarify business requirements (from both business and end-user perspectives).
– Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
– Prepare and maintain business and system documentation: BRD, SRS, User Stories / Use Cases, Acceptance Criteria, business flows, wireframes / mockups, activity diagrams, and API specs (from a BA perspective).
– Ensure requirements are fully understood by Development, QA, Design, and PM teams; manage requirements, specifications, and change requests throughout the project lifecycle.
– Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies: daily stand-up, planning, grooming, review, and retrospective.
– Support UAT, product demos, user training, and go-live preparation when needed.
Requirements
General Requirements
– Minimum 1 year of experience (Junior), 2 YOP (Middle) 3 YOP (Senior) as a Business Analyst in software development projects.
– Strong analytical skills: able to break down requirements, analyze complex problems, and propose practical solutions.
– Proficient in writing user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, workflows, and requirement documents.
– Good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC): Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid.
– Collaborate effectively with Development, QA, Design, and PM teams; manage scope, change requests, priorities, and stakeholder expectations.
– Familiar with tools such as Jira/Confluence, Figma/Balsamiq/Draw.io, Miro/Lucidchart, Excel/Google Sheets, and Google Workspace (Postman/Swagger is a plus).
– Basic understanding of web/mobile applications, APIs, databases, system integration, UI/UX, and a testing mindset.
Requirements by Level
– Middle: meet the general requirements; eager to learn and open to further training (especially for the presales role).
– Senior: deep experience, self-driven, able to lead the project’s BA workstream and engage clients independently.
English Requirements (by position)
– Good (listening – speaking – reading – writing): positions working with Australian and Philippines clients (equivalent to 7.0 IELTS) .
– Not required: the Digital Banking project (onsite at Nguyen Chi Thanh).
