Job Description
Role Overview: The Delivery Director – Banking Division will take full ownership of the end-to-end delivery of all projects within the banking portfolio. This role ensures that every engagement is executed on time, within scope and budget, and at the highest standards of quality and compliance.
You will lead a large cross-functional delivery organization—including project managers, delivery managers, and technical teams—and work closely with the Technical Director to ensure that all solutions are feasible, secure, and aligned with best practices in the banking industry..
Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement the delivery strategy of FIB to align with company objectives while offering high standards of service and customer satisfaction
– Oversee the delivery portfolio for all banking and financial services projects, ensuring success across scope, schedule, cost, and quality metrics.
– Ensure alignment between project scope, deliverables, and customer expectations.
– Manage client escalation and delivery issues with hands-on involvement where necessary
– Lead and mentor teams of delivery managers, project managers, and other delivery professionals in FIB.
– Training, hiring resources for the FIB.
– Serve as the executive point of contact for key banking clients, ensuring client satisfaction, risk mitigation, and long-term partnership success.
– Provide strategic insights and recommendations to enhance the value delivered to clients.
– Manage resource allocation across projects to ensure optimal utilization and efficiency.
– Plan and forecast resource needs, balancing workload, availability, and skill sets to meet project demands.
– Develop and manage the division/department budget, ensuring cost-effective project execution.
– Responsible for financial performance, including divisions’ profitability, and implementing corrective actions as needed to achieve financial targets.
– Represent the FIB Group in executive leadership meetings and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
– Minimum 10 years of experience in project management or delivery roles in IT/digital projects, with at least 5 years in a leadership position. Ability to manage teams on a day-to-day basis with a minimum of 50 people
– Ability to assess and manage risks at a project/organizational level
– Proven track record in managing multi-million-dollar digital transformation programs for banks or financial institutions.
– Deep understanding of banking processes, compliance requirements, and digital banking technologies.
– Strong leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
– Excellent communication and client engagement skills, capable of managing C-level relationships.
– Experience in agile delivery, enterprise PMO governance, and distributed global teams.
– PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
– Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements and driving efficiency within delivery teams.
