Job Description
As an Expert Technical Consultant, you are the primary technical authority for our most complex Salesforce Order Management (OMS) engagements. You will operate at the intersection of code and commerce, designing sophisticated, high-performance architectures that sync global inventories with complex fulfillment networks. You aren’t just configuring flows; you are building the technical foundation that allows global brands to scale their operations.
– Architectural Sovereignty: Design and own the end-to-end technical architecture for Salesforce OMS. You will define the data model, state machine logic, and high-scale order processing strategies.
– Deep Integration Design: Architect complex middleware patterns (MuleSoft, Boomi, or Custom) to bridge Salesforce OMS with ERPs (SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics), WMS, and 3rd-party logistics (3PL) providers.
– Advanced Customization: Lead the development of custom Apex actions, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and complex Flow orchestration where out-of-the-box functionality reaches its limits.
– Performance Engineering: Conduct performance tuning and load testing. Ensure the system can handle peak traffic (e.g., Black Friday/Cyber Monday) by optimizing SOSL/SOQL queries and asynchronous processing.
– Strategic Advisory: Provide high-level technical consulting to clients. Defend architectural decisions, manage technical debt, and ensure “Security by Design” across the entire order lifecycle.
– DevOps & Governance: Establish CI/CD pipelines (SFDX, GitHub Actions, Copado) and coding standards to ensure a seamless deployment lifecycle across global teams.
Requirements
Expertise & Qualifications
– Technical Tenure: 7+ years in Salesforce development, with a minimum of 4 years dedicated to Salesforce OMS and B2C/B2B Commerce.
Linguistic Mastery: Fluent/Native English. You must be able to lead high-stakes technical debates and document complex architectures for C-suite and engineering audiences alike.
– The “Flow” Expert: Mastery of Salesforce Flow as a programming tool, understanding when to use declarative tools vs. when to pivot to Apex for performance.
– Omnichannel Inventory (OCI): Deep technical knowledge of OCI, including headless inventory implementations and location-based fulfillment logic.
– Problem Solver: A proven track record of “rescuing” failing implementations or optimizing legacy OMS setups.
Technical Stack Requirements
– Core: Salesforce OMS, Omnichannel Inventory (OCI), B2C/B2B Commerce Cloud.
– Code: Apex (Advanced patterns), LWC, JavaScript, Salesforce CLI (SFDX).
– Data/Integration: REST/SOAP, JSON, JWT, MuleSoft, Pub/Sub API.
– Infrastructure: Knowledge of Heroku or AWS (as sidecars for OMS processing) is a major plus.
